DJ Zinc & Jack Beats’ Bass House Jam “The Anvil”
Beat-making is true craft. Case in point is UK drum & bass veteran DJ Zinc (Benjamin Pettit). He’s teaming up with new-school DJ duo Jack Beats (Ben Geffin and Niall Dailly) on a new cut from his forthcoming, entirely collaborative EP, Full House, landing on his own Bingo Bass imprint. The six-track EP also includes collaborations with like-minded beat-makers MJ Cole, Chris Lorenzo, Shift K3Y, My Nu Leng and more.
“I had a lot of fun making this EP with some of my favourite producers,” says Zinc. “Every one of the collabs is with someone whose music I play, so I knew the results would be club-ready bangers. From the musical bliss of MJ Cole to the lunatic bass of Lorenzo, the studio science of Shift K3y to the intricate workings of Jack Beats, the fresh angles from Holy Goof to the tidal wave of My Nu Leng—every track was a pleasure to make.”
On the lead cut, “The Anvil,” the talented trio of Zinc and Jack Beats deliver a fine-tuned bass house jam that’s sure to be a peak-time crowd-pleaser. Stream our TOTD below.
