Eric Sneo Unlocks Deep Mysteries on “Organon”
German techno powerhouse Eric Sneo is back to serve up more hefty tomes by way of his second burst from an upcoming full-length on Tronic Music. This duo of tracks includes not only a collab with label boss Christian Smith, but also a ferocious beast by the name of “Organon.” The latter tune is a deep and pulsing peak-time drop for the warehouse set. Spacious and driving,“Organon” fires off with a lockstep techno beat that unfolds through time like a blossoming moonflower. The track treads many lines by hovering in equally warm and cold spaces. The rhythms are machine frigid, and yet the sounds around them hold an inviting and captivating aura.
As the dynamics undulate with a gently rolling tide, the tension pulls like the doors of ancient wisdom springing slowly open. The long and steady break in the middle belies how lengthy “Organon” is, and yet none of it feels extraneous. There is a genuine organic nature to the whole piece, despite its span or stripped-down repetition—all of which is a powerful testament to the talent and precision Sneo has put in here. It is sure to grab listeners in all the right places.
Available January 16 via Tronic Music.
