Fritz Carlton & Brex’s Slow-Burning “What Time Is It”
Behind the decks and in the studio, Fritz Carlton is a budding talent who’s been blowing up over the past year or so. Previously, the L.A.-based artist, born Max Magee, has had well-received releases on notable labels like Desert Hearts, Perfect Driver, and Nite.
Now, following up 2016’s tantalizing “Teleport,” he returns to Treasure Fingers’ own Psycho Disco for their very first label compilation, PSYCH 101, alongside bass house heroes like Codes, ZDS, and 909 Til Infinity.
Joining forces with Brex, Carlton’s “What Time Is It” delivers a late-night house groove that’s sure to smolder at any after-hours warehouse set.
“This is a tune I finished last summer with a buddy of mine, Brex,” he told Insomniac. “We go way back, since college, so it was a lot of fun finally getting some proper time in the studio together. This one flowed out of me, and I hope you feel it as much as I do.”
Available March 31 via Psycho Disco.
