Inpetto’s “How We Used to Do” Is a Piano House Stomper

When you’ve been up close and personal with dance music as long as Inpetto—we’re talking making moves since the ‘90s—you’re in a unique position to see trends resurface. It’s currently happening with piano house, and this duo from Germany are valiantly leading the reincarnation on the blacks and whites.

Having already hammered out a handful of others for their homebase, Laidback Luke’s Mixmash imprint, Dirk and Marco are now smashing out their fifth offering, which is done in the same vain. The title “How We Used to Do” says it all, creating a cross section of the then and now by mounting sprightly, circular piano phrases atop a commanding lead that hits with all its future house glory. This mainstage monster goes to show the piano house resurgence is definitely in good hands.
