John Monkman’s Cosmic Remix of Lorenzo Calvio’s “Brunando”
Behind the decks, Lorenzo Calvio blends deep house, tech house, techno and beyond into a sonic mélange that works wonders on the dancefloor. In the past, this emerging Italian artist has released tracks on notable underground labels like Berlin’s Moodmusic, Apparel and Loco.
Now, the Milan-based producer delivers his latest three-track EP, Brunando, for Swiss stable Fat Wax. The title cut, “Brunando,” is an atmospheric electronic track with sweeping synths and a soaring, uplifting melody.
Then UK veteran John Monkman steps up with his signature house remix that’s super dreamy with twinkling keys and cosmic vibes to carry you through the night.
Both versions of “Brunando” could easily be played by Sasha during one of his marathon DJ sets.
“I’m very happy with this EP being released on Fat Sushi’s Fat Wax imprint,” Calvio tells Insomniac. “It’s a great fit, and the feedback has been amazing so far! Thanks to John Monkman for the fantastic remix, too.”
Available March 6 via Fat Wax.
