Juliet Sikora and Flo Mrzdk’s “Romans Galaxy” Hits With a Dizzying Groove

Over the last decade, Kittball Records has rattled the scene with one of the most celebrated catalogs in all existence. As such, crowds can’t help but crave the German-based imprint’s ongoing Kittball Konspiracy series, with the release of its 11th installment stacking on the excitement. Set to drop next week, the 10-track compilation sees the label calling on friends both old and new to usher in a deluge of cuts that gird the house and tech genres.

Juliet Sikora takes time away from calling the shots for the label in order to get down and dirty with frequent flyer Flo Mrzdk. Together, they hammer out a vibrant collaboration by the name of “Romans Galaxy,” which lets their synergy shine to the absolute fullest.

“First of all, thanks to Roman Salzger for the permission to use the sample,” says Juliet. “I loved the synth and vocal from the first listen back in 2008, and great to be back on Kittball with my mate Flo Mrzdk.”

A shaker, kick and hat combo warm up the floor before the borrowed sample blasts off with an animated update in the form of astute effects work, throbbing basslines and shuffling drums. Sikora and Mrzdk couldn’t have shipped off a better opening number.
