Killer Hertz Go Full Throttle on “Levitation”
The classically trained trio known as Killer Hertz continue to stomp their way into the hearts and minds of the drum & bass scene with yet another killer cut, this time dropping on Friction’s newly minted Elevate Audio imprint. Having burst onto the scene only a year ago, the mysterious Brighton-based trio—whose “full identities” remain a secret—have been on a nonstop mission to slay and conquer.
Building on their reputation for full-throttled cinematic floor-bangers, “Levitate” merges hair-raising atmospherics with a retro synth hook and heart-pounding, percussive beatdown sure to have heads bouncing off the walls and begging for more. It’s high-energy, breathtaking, rip-roaring vibes right from the get-go. So as the rocket fuel ignites, prepare to be propelled through to the second drop with enough heat to bring on the goosebumps and cinematic fervor, before the afterburners kick in once again and spiral this one toward the outer reaches of space.
Released as one of four cuts on Elevate Audio’s Quadrant EP series, Killer Hertz more than hold their own alongside heavyweights like Friction, Dope Skillz (aka Zinc) and Original Sin. With the label designed to showcase a sound that label boss Friction calls “straight-up, uncompromising dancefloor drum & bass,” Killer Hertz steals the show and delivers on all fronts.
Available March 17 via Elevate Audio.
