Latmun’s Hustling Remix of the Golden Boy’s “Egyptian Lover”
2017 is set to be a breakout year for the Golden Boy. The in-demand UK artist, aka Dominic Hammonds, is following up last year’s underground hits like “Big Mac” and “Freed” with a new release on Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ Hot Creations sub-label Emerald City.
His latest tech roller, “Egyptian Lover,” delivers the tight house production we’ve come to expect from Hammonds. Then, fellow Brit Latmun steps up with a hustling tribal version of the original that’s perfect for an after-hours DJ set.
“Latmun was an obvious choice to remix the track,” Hammonds tells Insomniac. “I’ve been a fan of his for a while. We regularly share music with each other. It’s amazing to see him doing so well; it’s thoroughly deserved. He’s worked hard to find his sound, and each track he brings out is so good—this remix is no exception.”
Available February 17 via Emerald City.
