Leftwing & Kody Employ Ominous Mood on Heavy Roller “Eterna”
It shouldn’t take much detective work to deduce that Steve Lawler is a fan of Leftwing & Kody. He hit the UK duo with resident status for his wildly successful Warriors parties, going as far as letting them mix the Warriors Season 5 compilation alongside Mark Jenkyns. The buck doesn’t stop there, though, as he taps LW&K for a follow-up EP, which is due out at the end of the week on his venerated VIVa LIMITED imprint.
“We are really excited about this release dropping. It’s hard to believe we have a follow-up on VIVa, and it’s such an honour to get an EP signed in the first instance, but to be asked to do another means a lot to us,” they tell Insomniac. “We are really proud of the music on this package, and it was great collaborating with Forrest again, too! We hope everyone enjoys it as much as we did making it.”
Metron is the name of their extra hefty package, with each of its four rollers designed for maximum impact on the dancefloor. “Eterna” sees them taking a more ominous route, however, employing woeful organs, rattling percussion, and sinister synth play to create one of the toughest tech house tunes floating around right now.
