Lianne La Havas “Green & Gold” (Darius Remix)
By now, you’ve probably listened to a few cuts off the new Disclosure album, or at least read some reviews, and know that it’s flaunting a pretty R&B tone—not that it’s a bad thing; it’s just a thing. Enter Darius. He’s a young Parisian who’s been cooking up soulful R&B things for a couple of years now—and it shows, because his latest remix for Lianne La Havas sounds more inspired than most of the cuts on Caracal. It’s a very enjoyable listen, with loose drums and neatly placed bass riffs, and La Havas’ confident and sexy delivery makes this a wonderful pairing. Darius is getting freakishly good at his craft and is slowly inching his way toward that elite level shared by Flume and few others.
