LongPlay Stirs Up Garage-Spiked Number “Coke No Ice”

When Andy King and Dave Winney aren’t putting in those extra-long hours to firm up fire for their revered imprint RM Records, the pair of Londoners can be found winding up winners under their LongPlay project. They’re currently sitting on some new work for the trustworthy Simma Black imprint, after presumably impressing the pants off label boss Low Steppa with “Feel the Bass,” which he snatched up in September. It must have cleared a path for an EP to waltz right in, because the duo is making their debut by way of the forthcoming Get Up.

It’s the lead cut where most of the hype comes to life. They stir up something nasty on “Coke No Ice,” a garage-spiked tech cocktail guaranteed to add to the buzz the boys have been building. A soulful vocal hook and swirling tones are stirred up nice and neat with punchy drum patterns that make for a heavy pour.
