Matthew Anthony’s “Do It Again” Is Headed for Rinse-and-Repeat Status

As the who’s-who list of scenestars heads over to Miami for its annual Winter Music Conference and Miami Music Week debauchery, L.A-based imprint Perfect Driver is on the hook for two stacked parties. Going in cahoots with This Ain’t Bristol, those buzzing gents from across the Atlantic, the joint double-header will see these two formidable forces bringing their own vibes for the entire South Beach to jump on.

In anticipation of the madness, Perfect Driver has compiled its Miami Drivers 2016 album—a full-loaded compilation featuring the choicest cuts from their most eyed artists, including appearances by Treasure Fingers, Landis LaPace, Sage Armstrong, and Hostage. Label founder Matthew Anthony also gets to work here, as he serves up a heater destined for the rinse-and-repeat setting.

“My track ‘Do It Again’ was inspired by a good friend working through a tumultuous relationship,” says Anthony, “where we both thought we knew what was right, when both of us ended up being wrong.”

He’s given us the privilege of sharing the first full stream of his bit, which you can hit up below. Staying low to the ground, this groover is marked by twitchy vocal work, propulsive percussive hits, and stretched-out basslines that will make this one just as effective poolside as in a low-lit club.
