Michael Brun Re-energizes “Summer Dreams” With a Sparkling Miami Rerub

With Miami Music Week just around the corner, record labels from across the dancefloor spectrum are prepping their fresh anthems and showcase compilations. It’s an annual tradition for Cr2 Records, with their Miami 2016 compilation last year inspiring more than 10 million streams on Spotify alone. They’re intent on keeping the momentum going this year, and the label is just a few days away from dropping its heavy-hitting new Miami 2017 comp.

One of the compilation’s standout records is the new VIP rework of Michael Brun and Marcio Lama’s “Summer Dreams” from last summer. The original’s chilled cocktail vibes went down a treat, though Brun saw fit to rework the record and suitably re-energize it for his DJ sets. The result is a sparkly VIP edit that channels the original’s sunny vibes into a peak-time setting.

“The original ‘Summer Dreams’ was a chill-out collaboration with Marcio Lama that we released in the summer of last year,” Brun says. “I made this VIP for my live sets, and it has always gotten such a great reaction! Marcio is Dominican and I’m Haitian, so this song represents a musical union of the island of Hispaniola.”
