Montel “It’s Like That”

With plenty of spring in his sonic step, Montel has been turning the tide through a steady secretion of fresher-than-right-out-of-the-oven tunes. It’s been a quick climb to party prominence for the Irish producer, and yet his club constructions continue to cling to the crates of the growing list of names backing the dude.

Next week, he’s set to mount back up on ALiVE Recordings with his follow-up EP, Out There. Forming the first of two crowd-crushing cuts, “It’s Like That” is a serious slapper that’s bent to burn through any dancefloor it touches. A corrosive and commendably catchy vocal hook does a decent amount of damage here, while pummeling percs and slinky synth lines take the tune into dangerously high levels of groove.
