Oliver Jay Dials Up the Future House Funk With “Cloop”
UK mainstay Oliver Jay has more than a decade’s worth of experience producing dancefloor bombs. While he’s often situated himself on the deeper, groovier tip, his latest on the Anabatic stable—which is due to hit Beatport on Friday—shows he’s no stranger to cultivating the more peak-time-focused vibes.
“Cloop,” which has proved a regular in the sets of label boss Worthy as of late, is a funky, quirky, bass-driven affair that’s firmly in the key of future house. It’s got plenty of groove and dancefloor function, though it also packs a real stomp that’ll do the damage in the big rooms.
Available April 14 via Anabatic.
