Platino Boss Andre VII’s Scintillating “Sourcery”

The Mexican underground techno scene has been coming on strong over the past few years. One artist who’s leading the charge is Andre Fernandez, aka Andre VII, the founder and driving force behind Mexico City’s own Platino label.

Their latest collection, AMULET, spotlights the state of their homegrown signature sound, featuring notable local artists like Ali x, Djs Pareja, Mijo, and more. On the LP’s standout single, “Sourcery,” the Platino boss keeps it simple and straightforward while keeping the beat rockin’ and mixed with scintillating, trance-y vibes. Overall, it’s a strong showing from Andre VII and friends, and a testament to the Mexican scene as a whole. It’s one to watch in 2017.
