Ryos ft. Allisa Rose “Eclipse” (Reez Remix)
Age doesn’t mean squat in today’s dance music industry. More and more, whiz kids like Ryos are getting an early start at having their sound grace some of the most grandiose stages in the world. With “Eclipse,” the young producer from Long Island has opened up a saga of what looks to be a long and prosperous path down the ever-growing tract of prog house.
The aforementioned tune is now being pumped with even more gas, as Dutch duo Reez show up with their sumptuous, high-pressure spin. Renze Michels and Siem Henskens are extremely capable of catering to a wide variety of crowds; however, they pick up the prog pace here to slug out a heart-racing festival anthem. Allisa Rose’s vocal work still holds a healthy slice of the production’s pie, but the sumptuously surging lead helps them tell a whole new story.

Were you impulsive on this track, or did you have a sketch in mind before you started?
We always like to work with an idea of what direction and feeling it’s going. Sometimes, the plan completely changes halfway, but with this track, it went really smooth. The plan worked out great.
Do you think advances in computer technology and gear have affected your creativity?
It definitely does—the possibilities are endless. Acoustic instruments are great, but you don’t have a ton of options on how to make it sound—a piano will always sound like a piano. With these computer programs, you can literally do anything you want. That’s also a reason why we like to do a lot of genres; it’s all possible, so why not give everything a go?
Describe the best setting/activity to hear this track.
It fits in a lot of places: It’s great for your rainy Sunday at home, but it could destroy the mainstage, too.
What’s your favorite sound/synth/effect/etc. used here?
The down-pitched vocal underneath the original vocal is something we really like; it completely changes the atmosphere of the vocal. Also, the pitching on the lead in the drop is really important in this track—it really keeps it going.
If this song were a color, what color would it be?
Probably a darkish navy blue, because it has a harmonic and sweet feeling to it, but it’s also very fierce.
