Tigerskin’s Dub-Tech Floater “January, June, July”
Tigerskin is at the top of his tech house game. The Berliner, aka Alex Krager, delivers again on his latest single, “January, June, July.”
Coming out on the new Cacao compilation, There’s Always Cacao in Exotic Places, he crafts some deep, dubby tech atmospherics alongside some quality releases from like-minded underground artists including Gonzo-Gonzo, Rick Wade, Zombies in Miami, and more.
“I would like to say I’ve been after some enigmatic riddle-playing with the names of the most popular gods of the ancient Roman empire, or hiding chord progressions under the numbers you can relate to these names,” Tigerskin tells Insomniac. “But actually, this is a track that constantly moves forward… Talking about ‘January, June, July’ makes me think about moving forward.”
Stream “January, June, July” below—and be sure to catch Tigerskin DJing around Berlin this fall.
Available September 11 via Cacao.
