Free Download: Tommie Sunshine and Landis Team Up on Outsider House Offering “Hook That Hits”
Tommie Sunshine—pioneer, activist and stellar producer—is known for stirring the pot offstage just as much as when he’s rocking it. However, his next major statement comes in the shape of another massive track, “Hook That Hits.” Joining him on the offering is on-the-hustle producer Landis, who has definitely made a name for himself over the last few years. The collab itself has been a long time coming.
“I always dug all the tracks I heard from Landis, and we spoke for years about working on a track together,” Tommie Sunshine tells Insomniac. “From hearing the earliest draft, this one stuck out and is the perfect kind of ‘outsider house’ we are both known to make and play. This track made its live debut on the mainstage of Ultra back in March, and in that moment, I knew this record connected in a very cool way.”
“It has that house flavor, with a ton of energy and a memorable, pitched-down vocal,” adds Landis. “’Hook That Hits’ has been going off in my live sets for a while now, so I’m very excited to finally share it with the world!”
Robotized, groovy vocals pair flawlessly with the galvanizing beat, which does exactly what the title suggests: It hits, no doubt about it. With a fine-tuned structure and distinctive sound, “Hook That Hits” is sure to shakedown club and festival dancefloors worldwide. The best part: It’s available for free download now, so get to it.
