Zetta and Guillotine Crack the Code With “Encrypted”

As Firepower Records closes in on the fourth installation of their Flatline series, we have to shout out just how much we are feeling this scorcher called “Encrypted,” which Zetta and Guillotine have offered up for the cause.

Designed to showcase new-school artists pushing genre boundaries to their breaking point, this edition of Flatline features heads like Nanoo, 12th Hour, Twofold and Sudden Death, all going in and unleashing their own unique brand of filth. Still, it’s this “Encrypted” cut from Romanian-Brazilian duo Zetta and UK-based Guillotine that has us holding on for dear life, as everything from the vocal dig at SoundCloud all the way through to the dirty melody at the core make this one worth the price of admission.

When asked to name their favorite elements of the tune, the crew is quick to point out what they call the “pluck.”

“I think the deep pluck in the intro gives the song a huge deep-house feel and transports you to another universe if you close your eyes,” says Zetta. “Really deep feels!”

“I also like the plucky melody—especially the way it moves throughout the track,” adds Guillotine. “It really takes you on a journey and gives me chills!”

“It’s such a good fit for Firepower because of the heavy synths, powerful intro with melodic elements, stand-out vocal, and the emotional breakdown,” explains Zetta. “That’s what we feel that Firepower are looking for lately: power, energy, melody. And this song, fortunately, has all of it!”
