TVBOO and Shanghai Doom Deliver Synaptic Destruction With “Laser Radiator”

Minnesota’s Outer Realms imprint levels up with some proper bassbin bangers from TVBOO and a select group of collaborators on his Cult Classics EP, due to drop this Friday. Insomniac is proud to be able to lock in a sneak peek of one of our favorite cuts off the four-tracker, “Laser Radiator.”

While heads like Hyphee, Purge, and Beardthug all represent on their respective collab tunes with TVBOO, it’s the anabolic curb-stomper with Shanghai Doom that is guaranteed to stir up the berserker crew. Opening with a crisp and creepy vocal-driven intro, the retro vibe eases its way into the filthy underbelly of the tune proper. Stepping and stomping with a rabid mid-range crunch and knee-knocking bottom-end, the otherworldly “Laser Radiator” is the perfect introduction to the synaptic destruction TVBOO and the rest of the crew are bringing on the EP.

When asked how the full EP came together, TVBOO is quick to point out that “all the tracks on the EP happened very natural—nothing was forced. Every artist brought their own styles to the table, and I feel like you can really hear a collaboration in every track. Every track is a different tempo with a totally different vibe. Whether you’re into weird, heavy, wonky, or just straight-up, fun bass music, I feel like this EP has got it. I’m a super big fan of all these artists and really stoked they could be a part of this.”
