Zero’s Sinister and Grinding “End Game” Is Game Over for the Dancefloor
In its short but undeniably strong existence, Brøken Music Syndicate has earned a serious reputation for dropping dark and brooding bass music. Brighton’s own Zero is up next, adding the furiously intense “End Game” to their already stellar catalog.
The UK bad-man is in top form here, as he serves up four and a half minutes of pure, unadulterated broken-beat-fueled bottom-end. Sinister yet sophisticated sound design wastes no time wrapping itself around you. And just as you begin to settle in, Zero throws the curveball: a wickedly grinding bassline that may just snap your neck in two. Once this one hits the decks, consider it game over for the dancefloor.
Zero has had his sights set on Brøken for some time. “’I’ve been after a release on Brøken ever since I started making bass music, to showcase a darker, more obscure side to my sound, and I think ‘End Game’ does exactly that,” he tells Insomniac. “If you want to take people completely off-guard at a live show with your opening tune, I think this is the one to do just that. Big thanks to Brøken and Insomniac. Expect a lot more from me over the next few months.”
